ParamPreviewer 1.2 is hereParamPreviewer 1.2 is hereI promised and here is it. A new version of the Apophysis Parameter Preview Utility. Since it is in the same set as PFinder is, it has the same version number. What is new?Reworked preview rendering engineBased on Apophysis 7X.16's core, the renderer behind this utility supports all the goodies Apophysis 7X has to offer. DirectColor, 3D, ISIS-integration and much more. Latest feature means that you don't need to worry about having the right plugins. The preview utility does this for you!Stability improvementsThe preview utility now runs even better on all 3 major versions of Microsoft Windows: XP, Vista and 7. Since Aero is optional, Vista and 7 Basic users or users who decide against Aero will experience this program as best as possible too.Extended information displayThe preview utility offers you all the information you need before you actually go ahead and open a fractal flame in Apophysis. It tells you whether
PFinder 1.2PFinder 1.2 is here!Your utility to locate Apophysis parameters has been updated! It has become sleeker, faster and more intelligent. Here are all the changes I made:Reworked user interfaceThe user interface of PFinder 1.11 was fancy looking but while it was out there in the open, it has been shown that people wish for a more simple design. You have been heard! Not only that the interface has been trimmed down to a minimal load, it is also compatible to computers with weak graphic cards, Microsoft Windows Vista/7-systems without Aero (such as the basic editions) and Microsoft Windows XP.Reworked search engineThe search engine has been completely overhauled. I used a parameter library of 30,000+ fractal flames as a test basis and optimized the engine so it now takes two seconds to build up the index (while the program starts) and five seconds to search for a particular term in them using an Intel Pentium D CPU with two cores.Reworked user input

Apophysis Challenge #129What lies in store for this week's challenge? No one knows! Please keep in mind that the rules for the challenge are clearly stated in every journal for your convenience. Additionally I'd like to mention that voting is open for a full week for the entries that are currently on display, and not for the new ones that are coming in for that same week. Early votes before voting begins can be very confusing when I'm also getting last minute ones. So for example, this week we'll be examining and voting on entries from challenge #128. Thank you very much for your cooperation. Our runner up was ~mahaon.Winner of Challenge #127Congratulations *GraphicLia on the win of the painting challenge! Challenge #128: Minimal B&W :th
Apophysis 7X Console Renderer - UPDATE 2For all the techies (and animators) out there: I have something for you! I present: a console interface for Apophysis 7X! Now you can easily batch, script and stack your renders. Here are some core features:Stable multithreading for single-, dual-, quad-, hexa- and octa-core systemsRender your flame files as if they were a set of keyframes (like with Apophymator) - even with different amounts of transforms per flameMake use of automatic plugin downloading (and the massive heap of new built-in variations)Experience faster rendering through optimization of the rendering coreThis build features a set of variations which were built-in from existing plugins (to reduce the need of .DLL plugins):- log (derived from *zy0rg's logn plugin; includes the "base" variable)- polar2- cross- wedge- epispiral (derived from *cyberxaos' Epispiral plugin; corrected name to be all-lowercase as defined by the naming convention)- bwraps (derived from bwraps2; removed the "2" in the name)-
More about Blooms !!!As you have noticed I got some Blooms going recently and they become very very popular So it happens I'm in a spring mood and feel like being showered with flowers - time to shed the heavy skin clothing into light and fragrant. Got amazing comments on the blooms as well - from dreamy, in my dreams full of magic to I wish they grew in my garden, can you make some prints and even could you make the Blooms into 3d-sculptures All ideas and suggestions are very welcome - on short time notice I did added some prints & also a brand new calendar (with Blooms only). You can always add it to your wish list (so you don't forget the blooms when Christmas comes) or you can get it even right now, still 10 solid months left, and afterwards you can get the singular month pages to use as prints (I do that - good price for 12 artworks).

Contest - March 2013And ApoContest goes on ...Last year `MichaelFaber has released some interesting new plugins - among others his eSeries. The challenge of this month is to create some nice work with these eSeries-plugins.The master himself has provided some splendid examples:As in the last contests there's only one demand and one prohibition this month: Some plugins of this eSeries have to be used so that they form the main shape of your fractal. Only use of the eSeries within the final transform isn't sufficient!! Yet its use there is allowed if some of these plugins are used within the xforms before. In addition to it there aren't any other limits. So you can go 2D or 3D, use 3 xforms or 99 and so on ...Deadline is the 31th of March at 12:00 p.m. (IDLW)Don't forget to upload your image in the fitting folder!!If there's any question or problem please send me
