I first joined deviantArt via my rubydeva
page, which I occasionally still use for my photography. I may one day revamp it with a fancier name. So I have been on deviantArt since June 21, 2003 via my original account and I have been known as deadened-glow
since December 18, 2007. I started this account as at the time, you could not change your username and I wanted a different account for my fractal artwork.
This was the very first piece that got me interested in Apophysis. By the time August 2005 rolled around, I was creating fractals that I posted to my rubydeva
Other deviants that inspired me:SuicideBySafetyPin is a deviant that also has great knowledge and her artwork has blossomed. She's also a great person to chat with!
I chose this by Casperium because I have tried a couple attempts at Apophysis Nebulas but haven't quite mastered it and I have always loved Ali's nebulas. I squee whenever she releases a new one!
Colliemom was one the first people I used to go to for help with resources. She is one of the first people I met outside of deviantArt, as she lives nearby to where I live in North Dakota. She was extremely helpful to me in my Apo beginnings.I choose this artwork, because Xyrus has become a good friend over my time on dA and he is typically one of the people I ask questions about Apophysis.
I wish I could add all the other artists that have inspired me over the past 9-10 years I have been using Apophysis. Maybe I'll make a separate journal for that, cause that list is super long! I have also have come to manage the Fractal-Resources
groups, though with help from some wonderful people!
I have met so many great friends in the fractal community here on deviantArt, some of which I interact with on facebook and offline. I even have plans to visit some of them in Europe in the future. So my time on deviantArt has been well spent and I look forward to my future time spent on deviantArt.
